Collaborating with People of Different Perspectives

Across time and events, we repeatedly witnessed the power of collaborating with people of different perspectives, and realized how essential this was to our own co-creative processes.

Immediately, we began bringing in new team members with varied backgrounds from different industries to maximize diversity of thought. From video game development and AI to education and philosophy, no two staff tackle problems the same way. The varied disciplines we come from are our teams’ greatest strengths; with our diverse experiences and perspectives on the world, we’re able to co-create in unique and innovative ways.

Intentionally Fostering these Values to Evolve and Transform

We find ourselves regularly speaking with a large group of geographically diverse people, many independently trying to solve the same problems. There is limitless potential for people to learn and build off each other, but there was no existing opportunity for this magic to happen. We decided to change that.

Our first virtual event was intentionally designed as a space where attendees weren’t just passively receiving information, but actively contributing to it. The goal was to capture collective knowledge, but the actual outcome was a tsunami of enthusiasm, positive feedback, and anticipation for the next event.

The distinction between virtual and digital may seem like a matter of semantics, but shifting from the former to the latter has the potential to catapult organizations from relevant to indispensable. While a virtual event is any one that can exist in an online environment, a digital initiative has the power to impact an association’s operational, strategic or financial goals – and sometimes all at once.
